Chinese Chess Board Game was introduced in China starting around 700 BC. The story Cen Shun is the first to mention the gameplay in the Tang dynasty (618-907CE). The game pieces are general and the pawns of the board were made from ivory.
These pieces were also called Xiangqi because they were made of ivory and Qi, which were both elephant-derived. Add this board game to have a traditional chess experience.
